DIY Peach Place Cards: Charming Handmade Name Holders for Your Next Event
Add a personal, handmade touch to your table with these charming DIY peach place cards. They make lovely name holders and small favors for weddings, showers, bridal or baby parties, and intimate dinner gatherings. This simple project uses round paper-mâché ornaments painted peach, a short twig for the stem, and a green cardstock 'leaf' with each guest's name.

Materials needed: round paper mache ornaments, orange and peach paint, green cardstock, hot glue gun, parchment paper, scissors, mat knife, real twigs or tree branches, about 1/8” diameter.
Step 1: Paint the ornaments peach colors – I used a mixture of peach paint and orange. It doesn’t have to be perfect; some visible brush strokes add to the textured look of the peach. Leave the string on while painting so you have something to hold. An egg carton makes a handy drying rack.
Step 2: Cut off the string, and carefully cut the ornament with a mat knife, making a ½–1” incision. Some ornaments are easy to cut and others are more stubborn. If cutting is too difficult, simply attach the green leaf with hot glue instead.
Step 3: Print or handwrite guests' names onto green cardstock, leaving a margin. Cut each name into a leaf shape.
Step 4: Squeeze a generous, quarter-sized dollop of hot glue onto parchment paper. Place the ornament on the glue with the cut side facing up and let the glue cool and set.
Step 5: Cut a ¾” piece of branch and hot-glue it to the top of the ornament, right next to the incision to mimic a stem.
Step 6: Insert the leaf into the incision (or glue it to the surface if you were unable to cut into the ornament).
Quick tips: keep a scrap of parchment under your glue work for easy cleanup; use the remaining ornament string to hang or hold the ornament while painting; vary paint mixes and leaf shapes for a more natural look.
