Charming DIY Bunny Place Cards — Easy Pastel Name Holders for Easter

Give your spring or Easter table a personal, handmade touch with these charming DIY Bunny Place Cards. Using small wooden cutouts, decoupaged fabric, and a mini clothespin, you can create self-standing, colorful place cards that hold name tags. This easy project is great for casual gatherings and can be customized with different paints and fabrics.

Supplies:

1/2″ mdf or plywood scraps

bunny shape printable online

1×2 pine boards cut @ 4″l

pastel bright colored spray paint

sandpaper

cotton fabric scraps

decoupage for fabric + brush

small fabric scissors

wood glue

nailer and 1 1/4″ finish nails

super glue

mini clothespins

Step 1: Print out the bunny shape and apply a light coat of spray adhesive to hold the paper to the wood. Cut out bunny heads from 1/2″ MDF or plywood scraps using a scroll saw or jigsaw, then sand smooth. Apply primer (especially important for MDF as it soaks up paint), then spray paint the front and sides with bright pastel gloss spray paint.

Step 2: Cut a piece of scrap fabric slightly larger than the bunny head.

Step 3: Apply decoupage adhesive to the front of the bunny, lay the fabric onto the piece, and smooth it in place. Let it dry thoroughly.

Step 4: Trim the fabric as close to the edge of the bunny as possible. If the fabric frays, seal the cut edge with a small dab of decoupage.

Step 5: Attach a 1×2 base to the back bottom of the bunny head using wood glue and 1 1/4″ finish nails so the piece can stand on its own.

Step 6: Use super glue to attach one side of a mini clothespin to the center top of the bunny head. Once set, print names onto cardstock, cut them out, and slip each name card into a clothespin.

These place cards are self-standing, colorful, and a sweet nod to Easter. Swap fabrics and paint colors to match your table decor, or add small embellishments for extra flair.
