Charming DIY Floral Chalkboard — Thrifted Frame Makeover
Turn an inexpensive thrift-store frame into a charming floral chalkboard to brighten up your kitchen, workspace, or bedroom. This simple project uses basic craft supplies — painters tape, chalkboard paint, silk flowers and hot glue — and comes together quickly for a personalized piece of decor.

Materials: thrifted picture frame (the creator found one for $1), painters tape, acrylic or craft paint for the frame, black chalkboard paint (sourced at Michaels), silk flowers (sourced at Michaels), hot glue and a paintbrush.
Instructions:

- Protect the outer edge of the frame with painters tape and paint the frame in your chosen color. Let the paint dry completely before continuing.
- Use painters tape on the outside of the glass to mask the frame, then paint the glass surface with black chalkboard paint. Allow the chalkboard paint to dry according to the product instructions.
- Remove the silk flowers from their stems. Arrange the larger flowers first around the frame edge and hot-glue their backs to the frame. Once the large flowers are in place, fill gaps with smaller flowers, securing each with hot glue.
Once everything is dry and securely glued, your floral chalkboard is ready to hang. Use chalk or chalk markers to add messages, grocery lists or seasonal artwork.
