Wine Cork Candles – DIY Christmas Ornaments
- Wine Corks
- Red Craft Foam or Cardboard
- Faux Green Wreath Stems
- Yellow Pipe Cleaners
- Floral Wire
- Red Ribbon
- Low Temp Glue Gun
- Scissor
How to Make a Wine Cork Christmas Ornament
1 – Cut a circle of red foam (or cardboard) for each cork to sit on. It needs to be wider than the cork.
2 – Glue the cork onto the red foam and then glue on a ring of green faux wreath stems.
3 – Make your candle’s flame by folding a small piece of yellow pipe cleaner in half. then push the pointed ends of the pipe cleaner into the top of the wine cork.
4 – Tie a short length of red ribbon into a little bow and glue it on.
5 – To hang your cork candles on the Christmas tree make a hanging loop. We used a length of florist wire and pushed the ends into the cork but you could also glue on a loop of ribbon if you prefer.
6 – Once all the glue is dry, your wine cork candle ornament is ready to hang on your Christmas tree!
