Creating an egg carton Easter basket is not only a fun craft project, but also a eco-friendly way to reuse materials. By simply cutting and decorating an empty egg carton, you can transform it into a charming and unique Easter basket that is perfect for holding Easter eggs, treats, or small gifts. This creative DIY activity is a great way to add a personal touch to your Easter celebrations while also reducing waste. Get creative with paint, markers, ribbons, and other embellishments to make your egg carton Easter basket truly one-of-a-kind. Plus, it's a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones, engaging in a craft that is both enjoyable and environmentally conscious.
You will need a recycled egg carton, scissors, buttons, construction paper, glue, paint, Easter grass and a paintbrush.
Start by cutting out the individual egg cups (they will be super jagged at first) then trim up the sides to make it smooth.
Get out some colored paints and cover the whole thing including the inside of it.
Cut strips of paper for the handles of the Easter basket and grab some buttons to match!
Put two dots of glue inside and hold the strips of paper against it for at least 30 seconds. Put glue on the front and stick a button on.
Add some Easter grass inside the little baskets!
