What you need:
6 colors of worsted weight acrylic yarn
(I used red heart super saver)
Tan, cream, light yellow, dark red or brown, white, and gold
Size 7 (4.5 mm) hook
A small piece of batting or a scrap of fabric
Polyester fiber fill
Yarn needle
Clip to keep place
Scissors

Pancake top:

Work in continuous rounds
in tan

  • Chain 2
  • Round 1: Work 6 sc in first chain
  • Round 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
  • Round 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 st
  • Round 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 24 st
  • Round 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 30 st
  • Round 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 36 st
  • Round 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around - 42 st
  • Round 8 *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around - 48 st
  • Round 9: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 7 sts, rep from * around - 54 st
  • finish off and leave long tail for sewing up later
Pancake bottom:
Work in continuous rounds
in cream

  • Chain 2
  • Round 1: Work 6 sc in first chain
  • Round 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
  • Round 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 st
  • Round 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 24 st
  • Round 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 30 st
  • Round 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 36 st
  • Round 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 5 sts, rep from * around - 42 st
  • Round 8 *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, rep from * around - 48 st
  • Round 9: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 7 sts, rep from * around - 54 st
  • Round 10: sc in back loops only
  • finish off and weave in end
Syrup:
Work in continuous rounds
in a syrupy color (I like strawberry syrup)


  • Chain 2
  • Round 1: Work 6 sc in first chain
  • Round 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
  • Round 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 st
  • Round 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 24 st

Here it gets fun and free. Chain between 4 and 7

sc back up the chain then sl st 3 and repeat. Have fun, make it random.

Butter:
Very simple, I crocheted a strip 3 stitches wide and 7 rows long.

I folded it then single crocheted around the entire edge.

Pancake Assembly:
Cut a piece of batting and place it inside pancake bottom. I was out of batting when I did this so I used a double layer scrap of an old t-shirt. This helps keep the pancake shape. Sew pancake top to pancake bottom. Sew butter to syrup and sew syrup to pancake. Sewing the syrup is a labor of love but it looks great when it is done.

Egg:
Work in continuous rounds


  • Chain 2 in white
  • Round 1: Work 6 sc in first chain
  • Round 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
  • Round 3: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 st
  • Round 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 24 st
  • Round 5: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 30 st
  • Round 6: *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, rep from * around - 36 st
  • Round 7: hdc around edge.
  • Finish off and weave in end

  • Chain 2 in gold
  • Round 1: Work 6 sc in first chain
  • Round 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
  • Rounds 3-4: sc
  • finish off leaving long tail to sew up

Egg Assembly:

Lightly stuff yolk, center on white and sew.

Add some bacon or sausage and your breakfast is finished.
