Cute Clothespin Fairies
Clothespin fairies are whimsical little creatures that bring a touch of magic to everyday life. These tiny handmade figurines, crafted from wooden clothespins, twine, and bits of fabric, are infused with creativity and imagination. With their miniature wings and petite features, clothespin fairies have a charm that sparks joy and delight. Whether perched on a plant, adorning a shelf, or hanging from a mobile, they add a sprinkle of enchantment to any space. Creating clothespin fairies can be a fun and rewarding craft project, allowing you to unleash your inner artist and share the magic of these charming beings with others. So, the next time you spot a clothespin fairy fluttering by, remember to smile and embrace the wonder they bring into your world.
I assembled my materials:
- round peg clothespins
- tulle (you only need one small round piece for the boys and two for the girls!)
- washi tape (I got mine from Pick Your Plum, Freckled Fawn, and DarlyBird)
- permanent marker
- various colored yarn for hair
- hot glue gun
For the girls: you place two round tulle pieces together and cut a tiny hole in the center. Place the clothespin inside.
Wrap the clothespin with washi tape to ensure the tulle stays put.
Now cut 8-10 little yarn pieces and glue them on the the back of the fairy’s head. Then add two eyes and a sweet mouth.
For the boys, simply add a “cape” instead of a dress. Start the washi tape and then go below it so the cape comes off the back of the little fairy boy.
