Materials

  • 2 jumbo plastic (crystal) bowls (Dollar Tree)

  • faux pine sprigs
  • battery operated lights
  • small jar lid
  • black spray primer
  • rub and buff (color: antique gold)

  • jute rope
  • gold floral wire
  • E6000 glue
  • hot glue

Tools

  • small paint brush
  • hot glue gun

Instructions

  1. Fill the bowl. Inside one of the bowls, add faux pine sprigs and a string of battery operated lights. Leave the battery pack out.

Paint the lid. Spray the lid with a coat of black primer. Add a coat of antique gold rub and buff.

Create the handle. Wrap each end of the cut jute rope with gold floral wire. (I wrapped about 15-20 times.)

Assemble the bell. Add dabs of E6000 glue around the bottom bowl and set the other bowl directly on top. Be sure to leave the battery pack portion of the lights outside of the bowl.

  1. Create the bell hanger. Glue down the jar lid to the top of the bell. Then glue the ends of the jute rope onto the jar lid to create a hanger.
