Instructions

For this Crochet Bear Keychain Pattern, we will be working in the round.

Crochet Bear Head:

Round 1: Using the RH cafe latte yarn, make a mr and make sc x6 in the circle. If you find it difficult making a magic ring you can chain 2 and then crochet sc x6 in the second chain from the hook. (6)
Round 2: Sc inc in every sc. (12)
Round 3: Inc, sc. Then repeat until the end of round (18).
Round 4: Inc, sc x2. Then repeat until the end of round (24).
Round 5: Inc, sc x3. Then repeat until the end of round (30).
Round 6: Inc, sc x4. Then repeat until the end of round (36).
Round 7-11: Sc in every stitch (36).
Round 12: Dec, sc x4. Then repeat until the end of the round (30).
Round 13: Dec, sc x3. Then repeat until the end of the round (24). Add safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8. Then begin to stuff the bear head.
Round 14: Dec, sc x2. Then repeat until the end of the round (18).
Round 15: Dec, sc. Then repeat until the end of the round (12). If you haven't finished stuffing the head, you should do so now.
Round 16: Dec. Then repeat until the end of the round (6). Fasten off the ends and close the bottom, then weave in any ends.

Crochet Bear Muzzle:

Round 1: Using the RH aran yarn, make a mr and make sc x6 in the circle. Then sl st to the 1st sc and fasten off. Leave a tail for sewing. (6)
With the black yarn, embroider a T at the top of the circle for the nose.

Crochet Bear Ears:

Make x2.
Round 1: Using the RH cafe latte yarn, make a mr and make sc x6 in the circle. If you find it difficult making a magic ring you can chain 2 and then crochet sc x6 in the second chain from the hook. (6)
Round 2: Sc inc in every sc. (12)
Round 3: Sc in every stitch (12).
Round 4: Dec. Then repeat until the end of the round (6). Fasten off the ends and leave a tail for sewing.

Finishing:

Sew the muzzle between the eyes, and attach the ears on opposite sides of the 3rd round. The ears should span from the 3rd to the 6th round.
Using a separate piece of yarn, start by securing it at the bottom of the bear. Then, thread it through the center of the first round. Add the keychain and thread the yarn back down through the first round. Finally, secure the yarn at the bottom of the bear and weave in any loose ends.
