- 8 Plymouth cotton yarn
- 4.5 millimeter crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Steps
Round 1
Chain 3.
Yarn over, insert hook in the first chain, pull through. You should have 3 loops on your hook.
Yarn over, pull through all 3 loops. Now, you should have 1 loop on your hook.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 nine more times, totaling 10 half double crochets.
Slip stitch to join the round.
Round 2
Chain 2, this counts as the first half double crochet.
Half double crochet in each stitch around, reaching a total of 20 stitches.
Slip stitch to join the round.
For Round 3
Chain 2, this counts as the first half double crochet.
Half double crochet in the first stitch. Then, in the next stitch, half double crochet twice (increase).
Repeat the increase step around until the end of the round to have a total of 30 stitches.
Slip stitch to join the round.
Round 4: Bear Ears
Do not chain at the start of this round.
Double crochet 5 times in the first stitch to form the bear’s right ear.

Double crochet 5 times in the next stitch to form the bear’s left ear. Slip stitch again.

Finishing Touches
