274yds/250m of #5 bulky weight yarn, pictured in Lion Brand’s Hue + Me colors Rose Water + Spicy, (137yds/125m) each.
Tools
8mm crochet hook, or hook needed to meet gauge
yarn needle
scissors
measuring tape
Instructions
In MC
Rnd 1. Fdc 81, or ch 83 and dc in the 3rd chain from your hook and in each ch across. Be careful not to twist, join with a sl st to work in the round.
In CC
Rnd 2. Ch 3, in same st 2 dc, sk next 2 sts, *{3 dc in next st, sk next 2 sts} rep from * around, join with a sl st. (81 sts)
Rnd 3. In MC Ch 3, in CC FPdc, *{in MC dc in next 2 sts, in CC FPdc} rep from * around until one st left, in MC dc in last st, join with sl st. (81 sts)
Rnd 4. In MC Ch 3, dc in each st around, join with sl st. (81 sts)
Rnds 5-10. Repeat round 2 - 4 two more times. If you want to make your cowl taller keep repeat thing section before moving on to the last row.
Rnd 11. In CC, ch 3, in same st 2 dc, sk next 2 sts, *{3 dc in next st, sk next 2 sts} rep from * around, join with a sl st. (81 sts)
Finishing
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
