Equipment
Hand Saw
Paint brushes
Items Required
1 Short piece of a 2x4, scrap lumber
Sand paper
Acrylic Craft paints
Polyuretherane
1 Clothes pin (clamp type with metal piece)
Wood glue or hot glue
Instructions
Take the short piece of 2x4. On the wide side, draw a mark 3 ½ inches up from the end of the squared off lumber. Then draw a mark 1 ¼ inches up from the end of the lumber on the other side. Draw a line between these two marks. This will create a diagonal line that will be the guide for sawing off the board.
Cut the wood along the line.
Use sandpaper to sand the board to get a fairly smooth surface on all sides of the block.
Paint the block a solid color on all sides. Allow to dry.
Have fun painting decorations on the two main sides of the block.
Use Polyurethane spray or liquid over the entire block to make it easy to clean and to protect the painting.
Use wood glue (or hot glue) to glue the clothes pin onto the top diagonal edge of the block.
