Stitches:

CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.

DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch Yarn over pull through two loops.

Puff: [Yarn over. Draw up loop] a total of 3x’s… Yarn over draw through all 7 loops on the hook.

Notes:

Turning chain does NOT count as your first stitch (unless otherwise specified). So, when working flat, be sure to work your first stitch in the very first stitch. And when working in the round, be sure to work your first stitch in the same stitch as join.

Try to work your chains, throughout the skirt portion of this pattern, loosely.

Row 1: Sc in second chain from hook and each chain across. (7)

Row 2: Chain 1. Sc in the BLO across. (7)

Repeat Row 2 for a total of 48 (48, 54, 54, 60, 60, 66, 66, 72, 72) Rows.

Slip stitch to join your final row to your first row.

Skirt (J 6.00mm Crochet Hook)

Round 1: Chain 1. Sc in the side of each row around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (48 (48, 54, 54, 60, 60, 66, 66, 72, 72))

Round 2: Chain 1. *Sc. Chain 1. Skip the next stitch. Sc. Chain 2. Skip the next 2 stitches. Dc. Chain 1. Skip the next stitch. Dc. Chain 2. Skip the next 2 stitches.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made.

Round 3: SS in the chain space. Chain 2. *(Puff. Chain 1. Puff. Chain 1. Puff. Chain 2.) in the chain 1 space. Sc in the next chain 1 space. Chain 2.* (*Note: Skip all the chain 2 spaces :)*) Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first puff made.

Round 4: SS into the chain 1 space. Chain 2 (doesn’t count as first stitch). *Dc in the chain 1 space. Chain 1. Dc in the next chain 1 space. Chain 2. Sc in the next chain 2 space. Chain 1. Sc in the next Chain 2 space. Chain 2.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.
