Abbreviations

ch – chain
ch-sp – chain space
sc – single crochet
sk – skip
dc – double crochet
FPSC – front post single crochet

Ch 160 (multiples of 4) +2.

Row 1

Sc into 2nd ch from the hook and sc into every ch. The first row of single crochet makes the edge look nicer.
ch 3, turn.

Row 2

2 dc into the same stitch (ch3 and 2 dc represent 3 dc). *Skip 3 stitches, sc into 4th. Ch2, 3 dc into the same stitch as sc.* repeat between * * to the end of the row. The last stitch – sc into the last stitch of the row. Ch 3, turn.

Row 3 (and all other rows)

2 dc into the same stitch (ch3 and 2 dc represent 3 dc). *Skip 2 dc and do FPSC under the front post of the last dc of the previous row. Ch2, 3 dc into sc of the previous row.* Repeat between * * to the end of the row. Last stitch – sc into last ch sp of the row (between 2nd and 3rd dc). Ch 3, turn.

Repeat row 3 until you use all of the yarn (132 rows). Note, that your tension may be a little different and your total number of rows may vary slightly. Secure the last stitch, cut off the extra yarn, and weave in all tail ends.
