100 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK yarn in colour 1
125 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK yarn in colour 2
90 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK yarn in colour 3
4.50mm crochet hook, plus a 4.00mm crochet hook for the border
UK INSTRUCTIONS:
Made in multiples of 3 + 1.
With 4.50mm hook and colour 1 make 124ch, 1tr into 4th ch from hook, * miss 2ch, 3tr into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 3ch, miss 2ch, 2tr into last ch. Turn. (39, 3tr groups)
2nd Row – 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * make 2ch, work tr3tog over next 3tr, (see abbrev) * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3tch, make 2ch, work tr into tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Join in colour 2.
3rd Row – 3ch, work 3tr into each 2ch space to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
4th Row – 4ch, tr3tog over next 3tr, * make 2ch, tr3tog over next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to end, make 1ch, work 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Join in colour 3.
5th Row – 3ch, 1tr into the stitch at the base of the 3ch, work 3tr into each 2ch space to end, work 2tr into 3rd of 4ch. Turn.
6th Row – 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * make 2ch, tr3tog over next 3tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3tch, make 2ch, work 1tr into tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Rpt 3rd to 6th Rows, rotating colours 1, 2 & 3 and ending with colour 1 until work measures approx 28.5 Inches from beginning.
Border – Using 4.00mm hook and colour 2, work 2 rows of dc evenly around blanket, working 3dc into each corner and slip stitching to first dc at the end of each row.
Second Row – 1ch, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * miss 2dc, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * around blanket to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
