For this project you will need:
HOOK: Any size but I used 4 mm hook or size G hook for the US
YARN: Any size but I used Fingerling Size 2 in cotton yarn to make this sample piece.

ch = Chain
YO = Yarn Over
st = Stitch
sts = Stitches
sk a st = Skip a stitch
sk 2 sts = Skip two stitches
SC = Single Crochet
DC = Double Crochet
Repeat what’s in between * for rest of round.

5 sts per inch or 5 sts per 2 ½ Cms
The Multiples of this stitch is 8
To start
Chain in multiples of 8 until you reach your desired size
Row 1
DC in 4th ch from the hook. Sc in next 2 sts.
DC in next 2 sts.
*ch 2, sk 2 sts, DC in next 2 sts,
sc in next 2 sts, DC in next 2 sts. *
To end: You should end perfectly with 2 DC’s in last 2 sts. Ch 2 and turn.
Row 2
DC in 2nd st of row. (the ch 2 space counts as 1st DC or row)
*Ch 2. Sk 2 sts, DC in next 2 DC’s,
SC 2 into the ch 2 space.
DC in the next 2 DC’s *
To end: Ch 2, sk 2, DC in last 2 DC’s. Ch 2 and turn
Row 3
DC in 2nd st of row. (the ch 2 space counts as 1st DC or row)
