Decoratively wrapped twine balls are a delightful addition to any rustic or farmhouse-inspired décor. These charming creations not only add a touch of homely warmth to your space but also bring a sense of handmade beauty. Whether placed in a bowl as a centerpiece or strung together to create a unique garland, twine balls effortlessly infuse a cozy and inviting atmosphere. With just a few simple materials and a creative touch, you can easily craft these adorable accents to sprinkle a bit of charm throughout your home. Embrace the creativity and joy of DIY with these adorable twine balls and watch as they enhance the cozy vibe of your living space.

What you’ll need:

Plastic balls
Hot glue gun with glue
Scissors
Lace – optional

First, you take the plastic ball and put a small dab of glue on the top of the ball.

Place the beginning part of your twine on the glue.

Then put a thin layer of glue on either side of the already glued twine and wrap your loose twine around this placed twine in a circular motion.

Make sure you pull tight and press the twine and glue against the already placed twine so that the plastic ball beneath can not be seen.

(If you are worried about the bright pink, green, or blue showing through, you can always spray paint the plastic balls the same color as your twine before you begin this project.)

Continue to apply a thin layer of glue around the already placed twine and tightly wrap the loose twine around the ball.

*** If the glue is squeezing up between the twine you are using too much glue – which is always my problem. If this does happen you can easily pull off the glue, once it has dried.

Continue working around the ball with your twine until it is completely covered.

Once you have wrapped the whole ball in twine and there is just a small hole uncovered on top, use your scissors to cut your twine at the correct length to cover the small whole. Dap a bit of glue in the hole and place your cut twine inside. Then take your hot glue gun and press it into the newly covered hole to ensure that it stays sealed.

All that is left is to decide if you want to leave them simply wrapped in twine or if you want to add a delicate touch of lace.
