Make a Soothing Lavender Bud Candle Holder in 5 Easy Steps
This simple DIY lavender bud candle holder adds soft texture, color and a gentle floral accent to any room. Itβs quick to make with a glass vase, Mod Podge and dried lavender buds — perfect for creating a calming corner for relaxation or self-care.
Materials
- Mod Podge (or clear-drying craft glue)
- Paint brush
- Dried lavender buds
- Glass vase or jar
- Candle (tea light, votive or LED)
Instructions
- Brush a thin, even coat of Mod Podge on the inside surface of the glass vase.
- Pour a small handful of dried lavender into the vase and rotate it so the buds press against the Mod Podge and stick. Use your fingers to gently pat the buds into place where needed.
- Shake or pour out any loose extra lavender and save it for another project.
- Let the adhesive dry until set (several hours or as directed on the Mod Podge label).
- Place a candle inside the vase and enjoy the warm glow. For long-lasting use or extra safety, consider using a battery-operated tea light or ensure dried lavender does not contact the flame.
Tips: Use a narrow brush to reach small areas, and work in thin layers if you want fuller coverage. This project also makes a nice handmade gift — pair with a small sachet of lavender.
