Newborn baby ruffle socks crochet pattern:

Crochet the toe and foot part:

Color A – Start with a magic ring.

Round 1: Ch 3, 14 DC into the magic ring. Join with sl st to 1st DC. (14 sts)
Round 2: Ch 3, 2 DC into the same st as join, 2 DC in each stitch around. Join with sl st to 1st DC. (28 sts)
Rounds 3-8: Ch 3, DC into the same st as join, DC in each stitch around. Join with sl st to 1st DC. (28 sts)

Crochet the heel:

Row 9: Ch 3, DC into the same st as join, DC in next 19 sts. Turn (20 sts)
Rows 10-13: Ch 2, DC in next 20 sts. Turn (20 sts)

Row 14: Ch 2, DC in next 8 sts, DC3tog, DC in next 9 sts. Turn (18 sts)
Row 15: Ch 2, DC in next 7 sts, DC2tog, DC in next 9 sts. Turn (17 sts)

Turn the sock inside out and seam the heel. You can use a crochet hook or, as I did, a yarn needle. If using a yarn needle, insert it through the back loop on the closest side and through the front loop on the opposite side. Repeat this process to join the heel. Weave in the end.

Crochet the ankle:

Round 1: attach the yarn, ch 3 and work 2 DC in each row around the ankle opening. When you reach the front part, make 1 DC in each st. Join into the top of the starting ch 3. The final number of stitches must be even.

Rounds 2-3: ch 3, DC in next st and in each st around. Join into the top of the starting ch 3.
Rounds 4-6: ch 3, *FPDC in next stitch, BPDC in next stitch – repeat from * around. Join in the space between the ch 3 and the FPDC. Weave in the end.

Crochet the ruffle:

Round 1: Holding the sock upside down, find the third round of the ankle part and attach the yarn around the ch 3.
*Ch 6, skip the next 3 sts, and SC around the post of the next stitch. Repeat from * around. Since I have 40 sts in the ankle part, I will end up with 10 ch-6 spaces. The number of ch-6 spaces and the number of stitches skipped may vary based on your total stitch count. Join with sl st to 1st ch-6 sp.
Round 2: [SC, 8 DC, SC] – in each ch-6 sp. Fasten off and weave in the end.

Crochet the popcorn (make 10 pcs):

Color B.

Leave a 10 cm tail and start with a magic ring. Ch 3, then [yo, insert the hook into the ring, draw up a loop, yo and pull through 2 loops on the hook]—repeat this 10 times. Yo and pull through all 11 loops on the hook, then ch 1 to secure the popcorn. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail approximately the same length as the one at the beginning.
Sew all the popcorns in place, weave in ends.
