Materials:

  • Weight 6 yarn
  • Size J/6.0mm
  • Stuffing
  • Safety Eyes or felt eyes
  • Yarn needle
  • Stitch Marker

Abbreviations:

  • sc = single crochet
  • inc = increase (2 sc in next stitch)
  • dec = invisible decrease (sc 2 stitches together)
  • st = stitch
  • FO = fasten off

This pattern uses weight 6 blanket yarn. Any yarn may be used, but your crochet hook size will be different. Use a hook 1-2 sizes smaller than your yarn calls for. This pattern is in US crochet terms.

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds and using a stitch marker to mark the first stitch is recommended.

Cheeseburger:

In light brown:

R1: 8 sc in a magic ring


R2: 8 inc (16)

R3: (1 sc, inc) x 8 (24)

R4: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)


R5-7 (3 rounds): 30 sc

Change color to green:

R8: 30 sc

Change color to red:

R9: 30 sc

Change color to yellow:

R10: 30 sc

Change color to dark brown:

R11-12 (2 rounds): 30 sc

Insert safety eyes between rounds 5 and 6, about 4 visible stitches apart. Embroider a mouth if desired.

Change to light brown:

R13: 30 sc

R14: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)

Begin stuffing the cheeseburger. Stuff as you go.

R15: (1 sc, dec) x 8 (16)


R16: 8 dec (8)

Fasten off and sew hole shut.

Lettuce & Cheese:

Insert your hook into round 8 and attach a piece of green yarn with a sl st. We are going to surface crochet around the green to make the lettuce leaves.

Work 2 hdc in each green stitch around. Fasten off and weave in your ends.

Insert your hook into round 10 and attach a piece of yellow yarn with a sl st. We are going to surface crochet around the yellow to make the cheese.

Work 7 sc, 2 hdc in one stitch, 6 sc, 2 hdc in one stitch, 6 sc, 2 hdc in one stitch, 7 sc, 2 hdc in one stitch. Fasten off and weave in your ends.
