Materials Needed:

Reclaimed Wood
Acrylic paints, white & turquoise
Rope
Starfish ornament
Stencils
Paint brush

Start off by dry brushing a light coat of your turquoise paint. Don’t cover old wood completely, let the wood show through.
Starting off with new wood but want to give your wood an aged look, checkout my wood aging solution.

When you get done your sign should look something like this with some color but with the aged wood showing through as well.
Now add your lettering with your stencils and white acrylic paint.
I didn’t have any thick rope so I used four strands of thinner rope.
I tied knots in it every few inches to keep the strands together.

Then I ran the rope through each end of the swing seat turned Beach Sign and knotted, and trimmed excess rope.

I hung the starfish ornament from a piece of jute attached to one of the rope knots to hold it in place.
