What you'll need:

Supplies: clothespins, wooden rounds and teardrops, colored cardstock, hole punch, glue, marker and magnets.

• round wooden shapes (for heads)
• two teardrop wooden shapes (for ears) or paper ear templates
• colored cardstock or paper
• hole punch
• tacky glue
• black marker or felt-tip pen
• small magnets

Make it!

Trace and cut paper ear shapes in matching colors for each bunny.

1. Trace teardrop ear shapes onto colored cardstock — choose one color per bunny or mix and match. Cut the paper ears and trim them if needed so they fit within the wooden ear shape. Attach the paper to the wooden ears with tacky glue and allow to dry.

Draw simple or personalized faces on the wooden heads with a black marker.

2. Use the black marker to draw faces on each round wooden head. Keep features simple (eyes, nose, mouth) or add character traits like glasses, freckles or whiskers.

Glue the finished ears to the back of each wooden head.

3. Glue each set of ears onto the back of its corresponding head so the ears peek out from behind when viewed from the front. Let the glue set.

Attach the head to the top of the clothespin to form the bunny body.

4. Glue the completed head to the top of a clothespin — use regular-sized clothespins for the parent bunnies and smaller clothespins for the kids. Hold in place until secure.

Create bows, bow ties and other accessories from cardstock scraps.

5. Make simple accessories: cut small triangles for hair bows or bow ties, and use the hole punch to create small circles as centers or buttons.

6. For additional details, glue three punched circles together to form a necklace or arrange six circles into a flower for a hair accessory. Attach these with tacky glue to personalize each family member.

Glue a magnet to the back of each clothespin and allow everything to dry completely.

7. Glue a small magnet to the back of each clothespin. Let all glue dry fully before using the magnets on metal surfaces.
