DIY Rustic Upcycled Clothespin Napkin Holder — Easy Eco-Friendly Table Accent
Give your table a handmade, vintage touch with this simple upcycled clothespin napkin holder. Itβs a budget-friendly, sustainable project that repurposes old wooden clothespins into a charming centerpiece accessory. Follow the steps below using basic supplies and a hot glue gun to create a durable, rustic holder for everyday use or entertaining.

Supplies Needed:
Clothespins (you will need a total of 34 clothespins)
Hot glue gun
Glue stick or glue rope

How to Make a Clothespin Napkin Holder
1. Take apart your clothespins, removing the metal springs. Set the metal pieces aside and keep the wooden halves organized. You will need a total of 34 clothespins for this design.

2. Once the clothespins have been separated, flip the wooden halves so they are flat side to flat side. Glue these halves together into pairs, leaving two sets unpaired as noted in the original instructions.

3. Glue the paired pieces together to form longer strips. Arrange and glue 14 pairs (or the equivalent number of paired halves) into a gentle half-circle shape. On each end of the half-circle, attach one single clothespin piece so the flat side faces outward to finish the ends.

4. Repeat the previous step to make a second matching half-circle so you have two halves that will form the sides of the napkin holder.

5. For the base, take the remaining 4 clothespin halves, glue two side by side, and repeat with the other two to create two flat base pieces.

6. Glue those base sets onto the bottom edge of one half-circle section to create a stable, flat base.

7. Attach the second half-circle to the first, matching the bases and aligning the ends. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly so the structure is secure.

8. Once dry, place the napkin holder on your table and fill it with napkins. The finished piece adds a cozy, rustic accent and makes use of repurposed materials.
