How to Make a Pocket Wall Organizer

1. Trace two full circles on one color of paper using the CD as a template (these will cover the front and back of the disc and give structure). I used green for mine.

2. Cut out the two circles and set them aside.

3. Cut a small length of ribbon and form a loop for hanging. Secure the ribbon to the edge of the CD with hot glue so it will serve as a hanger.

4. On a contrasting color of paper, trace a circle with the CD but only draw about ¾ of the perimeter. On the top portion, draw a curved connecting line so the piece becomes an open pocket flap (I used pink).

5. Cut out the partial circle pocket piece and set it aside.

6. Glue the two full circles onto each side of the CD, sandwiching and securing the ribbon loop between the paper and the disc for added strength.

7. Apply glue to the outer edge of the pink pocket piece (only along the edge that will attach to the CD), then press it onto one side of the CD so it forms an open pocket. Hold until the glue sets and the seam is sealed.

8. Embellish the pocket as desired — I added rhinestones around the outer edge of the pocket and glued a small fake flower in the center for a decorative finish.

To display, hang the finished CD pockets by their ribbon loops. Combine multiple discs in a row or cluster for a functional and eye‑catching wall organizer. This quick upcycle is customizable: try different colors, papers, or embellishments to match your style.
