How to Make Cute DIY Easter Egg Terrariums — Easy Spring Centerpiece
Bring a bit of spring indoors with these charming DIY Easter egg terrariums. These tiny, customizable terrariums are made from clear plastic eggs filled with dirt, moss and a small paper flower on a wired stem — perfect for centerpieces, place settings or handmade gifts.
Materials
- Clear plastic eggs
- Moss
- Dirt (slightly damp)
- Gold spray paint (optional)

Materials for the paper flower
- Colored paper of your choice
- Green paper (for leaves)
- Stamen (flower center)
- Scissors
- Floral wire wrapped in cloth
- Hole punch
- Glue gun

Step-by-step Instructions
- Optional: Spray the colored part of the clear egg gold (or another color). Wait 24 hours to dry properly before handling.
- Fill the bottom third of the egg with a bit of slightly wet dirt.
- Add a layer of moss on top of the dirt to cover it and create a natural look.
- Make a small paper flower on a short length of floral wire (instructions below).
- Insert the wire flower into the dirt through the moss so it sits securely.
- Close the egg and arrange as desired — individually, in a bowl, or as part of a centerpiece. Done!

How to make the paper flower
- Cut a circle about 1/2" diameter from your colored paper.
- Make a rounded start shape and curl the edges up to form petals.
- Punch a hole in the center of the flower.
- Add the stamen through the hole and glue it on the back side, holding until secure.
- Cut a thin leaf from the green paper and curl it with your fingers for shape.
- Cut a piece of floral wire slightly shorter than the egg height.
- Trim the stamen on the back to a small nub and glue the wire to that nub.
- Glue the leaf to the wire near the base. Allow glue to set.
- Insert the finished wired flower into the prepared egg terrarium.

Quick tips: keep the dirt slightly damp so it holds the wire stem in place, and use short pieces of wire so the flower fits neatly inside the egg. Customize colors and flower styles to match your Easter decor.
