DIY Succulent Wreath: Easy Step‑by‑Step Using Dollar Tree Supplies
Make a charming succulent wreath in an afternoon using affordable supplies. This simple DIY combines a grapevine wreath, a decorative gold “hello” hoop, and seven succulents to create a fresh, modern door accent. The project works for all skill levels and uses basic tools like hot glue and E6000 for a secure finish.

Supplies Needed
- Grapevine wreath (Dollar Tree)
- Gold “hello” wreath (Dollar Tree)
- Succulents x7 (Dollar Tree)
- Twine or jute (Dollar Tree)
- Hot glue and/or E6000
Step 1: Attach the gold “hello” hoop
Remove all tags from the wreaths. Position the gold hoop so it hangs in the center of the grapevine wreath. If your grapevine wreath is wrapped in twine, you can unwrap a short end and use that to loop around the gold hoop. Secure the twine back onto the grapevine base with a small dab of E6000.
Here is the wreath after unwrapping the twine end and before re-securing it:

And here’s how it looks after the gold hoop is attached and the twine is glued back down:

If you prefer, you can also tie a new loop of twine around both wreaths instead of using the existing twine.
Step 2: Prepare and add the succulents
Remove tags from the succulents and pop off or trim the stems so the succulent heads are ready to glue. (These stems often pull off by hand.) Arrange the succulent heads on the wreath to find a layout you like — in this project they were clustered on the right side, but you can distribute them evenly or fill the whole wreath as desired.

When you’re happy with placement, glue each succulent in place. Hot glue dries quickly and holds pieces temporarily, while E6000 provides a stronger longer-term bond. Using hot glue first to hold pieces, then adding E6000, gives quick placement with durable adhesion. If you only use E6000, allow time for it to fully cure before moving the wreath.
Step 3: Add a hanging loop
Create a small jute/twine loop to hang the wreath. You can glue the loop to the back of the wreath or tie its ends to the existing twine wrapped around the grapevine base. In this project the maker tied a loop around the wrapped twine and secured it with double knots, then trimmed the excess.

Trim any visible excess glue or stray twine, let any E6000 cure fully according to the product instructions, and your wreath is ready to hang.
The finished wreath
Here’s the completed wreath with the succulents clustered on one side and the gold “hello” accent centered in the grapevine base.

Enjoy your new wreath — it makes a lovely front‑door accent or indoor wall decoration. Swap succulent colors or add more pieces to customize the look.
