You will need:
- Ready To Paint Ceramic Easter Eggs
- DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint – Milk Chocolate
- DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint – Dark Chocolate
- Paint brushes
- Green Cardstock
- Fiskars Detail Scissors
- Hot Glue Gun

STEP ONE:
Paint the egg with DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint – Milk Chocolate to create a warm, sandy-brown base coat. Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on.

STEP TWO:
Use a detail paint brush and DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint – Dark Chocolate to add short vertical lines and subtle irregular marks that mimic the texture of a palm trunk. Vary the pressure and length of strokes for a natural look.

STEP THREE:
Cut small leaf shapes from green cardstock. Gently bend each leaf along its center to give it dimension and the look of a palm frond. Use a hot glue gun to attach the leaves one by one at the top of the egg until you have a full palm tree canopy.

Display ideas: nest a group of palm tree eggs in a bowl filled with sand or shredded green paper for a beachy centerpiece, or place single palm eggs in small pots for individual place settings. For durability, consider sealing the painted egg with a clear acrylic sealer if the eggs will be handled frequently.
